NSW: NSW govt ready to help federal govt help tsunami victims

The New South Wales government says it's ready to help the federal government provide
aid to victims of Sunday's deadly undersea earthquake.

Police Minister JOHN WATKINS says they're waiting for a request from Canberra and they
stand ready to coordinate their response.

Mr WATKINS says the NSW government has forensic equipment that could be used to help
identify victims.
