The Kanawha Trail Club has scheduled the following hikes and otheractivities through the end of February:
Sunday, Feb. 4, 1:30 p.m.: Trace Fork hike. Regroup at LittleCreek Park, Area I, Lions Field. Three-mile hike with a few steephills, some areas of tricky footing and 14 creek crossings.
If you want to know how deep the water is, call leader Lois Ludwig(776-1390) on Saturday night before the hike.
Saturday, Feb. 10, 10 a.m.: Meet at President Yvonne Khourie'shome - 1931 Oakridge Drive, Charleston, for a hike coordinators'meeting. Come out and help plan hikes, make suggestions for hikes orjust socialize.
Sunday, Feb. 11, 1:30 p.m.: Kanawha State Forest Middle RidgeTrail loop. Regroup at forest entrance. Four-six miles with rockyterrain and moderate elevation. Bring a flashlight. Leader: CathyMills
Sunday, Feb. 18, 1:30 p.m.: Nitro Ridenour Lake. About four miles.Moderate hike with possibly slick sections. Leader: Kathy Hastings
Saturday, Feb. 24, 9 a.m.: Lakeshore Trail at Lake VesuviusRecreation Area of Wayne National Forest, Ohio. Eight-mile hike withtwo moderate climbs to bluffs overlooking lake.

Sunday, Feb. 25, 1:30 p.m.: Kanawha State Forest. Regroup atJohnson Hollow parking lot. Hike Pidgeon Roost Trail, Boundary Roadand Wildcat Ridge. Return through camping area to parking lot. Somemoderate grades but mostly level hiking. Some tricky footing may bepresent if conditions are wet. Four-five miles. Leader: Ron Cockeram
Hikers are to meet at the Stonewall Station Post Office Parkinglot, corner of Ohio and Randolph streets on the West Side ofCharleston, to car pool to hike locations unless the schedulespecifically indicates another meeting place.
Hikes are subject to change due to weather and road conditions.Waterproof boots for wet weather are recommended.
