Vic:Yallourn Energy and union resume talks
Maintenance workers and management at Victoria's Yallourn Energy power station resumetalks today over a dispute about work practices.
More than 20 mine maintenance workers at the Latrobe Valley electricity generator walkedout on Friday, less than two months after a protracted industrial dispute was settled.
It's understood the workers refused to take orders to do electrical work from a foremanwho was not a electrician.
They were back at work on Saturday after a hearing in the Australian Industrial RelationsCommission was adjourned so the parties could resume talks.
If talks are unsuccessful, Yallourn Energy and the union will return to the commission on Friday.
The company said last Friday's industrial action posed no threat to electricity supplies.
